Editorial & Source Policy

First-party sources come first

For current H-E-B information, our preferred sources are:

  1. H-E-B Careers;
  2. H-E-B Partner Services;
  3. H-E-B Newsroom;
  4. official H-E-B access resources;
  5. official H-E-B application listings.

Current company sources are prioritized when they conflict with old third-party articles.

Recency matters

Even official webpages can become stale.

For example, H-E-B’s Partner Services page currently contains an older workforce count, while current Careers and 2026 Newsroom pages identify more than 175,000 Partners.

For current statistics, we use the newer dated source.

Job descriptions

Individual job postings can establish that a role or technology exists, but they should not be used to claim that every H-E-B employee has identical duties.

When possible, broad workforce claims rely on the permanent Careers category pages rather than one vacancy.

Benefits

We distinguish three levels of evidence:

Program exists — supported by current H-E-B public material.

Program historically operated under specific rules — supported by dated historical documentation.

A specific Partner is currently eligible — cannot be determined by this publication.

Current plan documentation should control the third question.

Employee stories

We do not invent:

  • named Partners;
  • quotes;
  • promotions;
  • workplace experiences;
  • salaries;
  • manager stories.

If H-E-B itself publishes a Partner profile, we can report what that source documents while making its origin clear.

Community discussion

Forums and app reviews can reveal search questions and usability themes.

They are not authoritative sources for company policy.

AI-assisted production

Automated tools can assist with research organization, drafting and duplication checks.

They do not replace source review.

Google’s current documentation explicitly says generative AI can be useful for research and structure while warning that producing many pages without additional value may violate its scaled-content policy.

Page updates

Every time-sensitive article should display:

Published: [DATE]

Last Reviewed: [DATE SOURCES WERE ACTUALLY RECHECKED]

Do not refresh dates simply to make old material appear current.
